Q: When should I call to arrange for your services?
A: First, as a buyer, be sure to include an inspection clause in your offer to purchase. Once you've reached agreement on the purchase, contact us by phone or e-mail. We are generally available to schedule your home inspection with short notice. We are available mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Q: How long will the Inspection take?
A: Most inspections take three to four hours. This can vary depending on the size, condition, and age of the home. We prefer to have two to three hours of uninterrupted time, and then welcome buyers and their agent for a final hour of walk-through. During this walk-through we will explain all items of concern and answer all of your questions.
Q: What if I have questions later?
A: You can call us to discuss any and all aspects of your home. We always maintain a file of every inspection performed, including all photos and notes. Our service is a long-term investment and there are no future charges.
Q: Why not just have a friend or family member, who has worked around
homes and is pretty handy, do an inspection?
A: Although that person may be very skilled and knowledgeable, they are not trained or experienced in the field of Inspection and the details to look for. Professional home inspection is a unique skill that is acquired through extensive training and lots of experience. Professional Inspectors develope an instinct for where problems might occur.
Q: When is payment required?
A: Your payment is collected at the time of the inspection. Personal checks are accepted.
